My next door neighbor used to make paper door, or fusuma in Japanese. Those papers in the picture were used to put under the paper door. You can see some numbers or prices in Chinese characters.
Kozo papers were often used to keep account books long time ago. The books could last forever even though you'd turn pages many times. But now computers can do almost everything... instead of using papers.
