The two Iwanos seem to have a family connection dating back in 18th century, but now we recognize them producing two different papers. 

Heizaburo Iwano owns the biggest paper studio in Echizen Washi and the paper has also the biggest size, which sometimes is made by five people. His paper is used for Japanese painting. Taikan Yokoyama, who was a painter in Japanese art and whom everyone knows in Japan as an artist in 19th century, often visit Heizaburo's studio to search for the best paper for his art.

The other day, when I visited him, he was making paper. His paper is called ` Uchi-gumo`, `Tobi-kumo`. I am allowed to use the designs for a wall paper on this website. You'll see in a few weeks...

The lady is Aki-chan. She usually makes jokes a lot, but at that time she said ` I have to be so serious today that I cannot make any jokes ! `.  Very lovely ...
