When I was sorting out what I have the other day, I found my old small bag that my parents bought me for my England trip in 1988. I don't use it anymore, so I checked inside.
There was a fifty dollar bill....... given by Norma Jean in 1999 in West Virginia. She was late sixty then, a friend of my friends'. We didn't talk a lot, but when I was about to leave for my friends' house, she gave me fifty dollars with a nice letter in an envelope. I remember this very well, because I was so surprised and very happy to know that someone believed in my bright futre. Maybe I felt a bit too much, but I was so much encouraged at that time after having lost my diplomatic test in Japan.
I cannot use this fifty dollar and will keep it a little bit longer.
