I started taking photos of the artisans in Echizen Washi Village.

Now I have an idea whether I can publish a book about the people here with my photos. I'm almost sure I can be the one who can take good photos of them, because they are very natural seeing me taking their photos.

As you know, Ichibei Iwano is a living national treasure in washi and he is going to be eighty years old this September.

He said to me, ` You have to work well as an artist while I am alive . `
