There is a Knife Village close to our village . It takes about 5 min to get there by car. I remember my friend from Chile had a walk to the knife to look for his favorite one.

Also there is a Lacquer Village which also close to Echizen Washi Village.

It is all because our area is located very close to China and Korea, so, about 1500 years ago they came here on ship and started their business in so called ` crafts `. But knife was introduced here 700 years ago.
