Echizen Washi

On my way back home on foot, I found a turtle crossing a street and in danger from cars! It's my first time to see the natural turtle in this village. When I was around eight, I remember my father brought back one from a golf playground. I was happy then and took a walk with him sometimes. But we couldn't feed him well and soon he passed away. I felt really bad. 

So, this time I wanted to save him to the better place... I released him in a pond wondering if he really could swim. He did and got disappeared.

I told this story to the people here, but they don't get surprised. ` You would see turtles sometimes in this village. `
