Echizen Washi

Mr. Toshiyuki Nagashima, a famous Japanese actor,  gave a lecture today in the village.

He has been playing  a Echizen Washi papermaker in a film taken here since last year Dec and it will be released this year fall.

In the lecture he said, "people in big cities like Tokyo don't feel nature in their daily lives. But here you can feel the wind, see the full moon, and I can feel so much natural energy both from the people and the land. I didn't know about Echizen Washi before. I hope more people will know about it. And this movie will hopefully do something for you. "
