On Two different washi 2015.12.08

On my show I put each name of the washi makers next to my work explaining who made the paper I used and what materials the paper was made from. It was very rare to see makers' names in the title, so some people didn't really get it why there were many different individual names. Well, I'm sure most people don't really know there are so many kinds of handmade paper only from this village and that each has unique quality for brush work. I wanted to focus on the makers and paper itself on this show. So, when I paint, I try to remember whose paper I'm going to use. And now I wonder ; do I really need to do that ? What am I doing this for while no one pays attention to it very much ....?

I think many people want to live for someone. Or I should say we want to help or work for someone. Now, it's about me. Maybe I hesitate to be just a person who is not appreciated by anyone for anything and whom no one would remember. Why do I need to remember each artisan's name. Maybe I wouldn't have to.
