Chinese paper I bought breaks so easily... So I started thinking I had to find good Echizen Washi for ink painting.
Sho-Hachi is one of the paper makers in Echizen and he's been experimenting very seriously about paper for ink. I had told him that I needed to buy some of his sheets. Finally I got them just recently.
Mitumata - straw, straw - bamboo - pulp, kozo 100%, gampi - kozo, and hemp - kozo..... Five different sheets.
Well...... Maybe you can't see the differences, but they are very different....
