A Letter to My Nephews2014.12.26

photo01

My eldery nephew age 5 is now learning how to write hiragana and katakata, which are basic Japanese letters before you start learning kanji. He sent me a Christmas card a few days ago writing ` Thank you as always ` in Japanese hiragana ; いつもありがとう.

I could feel he was expecting my response in a letter, so I wrote him back explaining a little wildboar was now visiting my house sometimes looking for some food. The poor little one was so wet under the rain and snow one day and I decided secretly to feed him a bit....... Right, it is not actually allowed. It's not a zoo here, but I thought he needed to have some energy to go back home by himself....
