Echizen Washi

They are a very good model for me too because they don't care about the result !

My father used to work for one of the three biggest newspaper companies in Japan. He quit his job in his mid thirties having three children and a wife, which was very rare at that time in Japan where you could see so many `Salary Men ` in big cities. Now he does his own business, but he reads three different newpapers to compare each news. This style is very typical Dad for me. 

My mom loves cooking. She complains how people look down on doing housework. She loves thinking about food, nutrition and she also loves cooking using good sult and sugar. She used to be a teacher until she gave a birth for me as her first child. Then she quit her job to take care of kids. I appreciate my mother had been feeding us very very good food, all handmade. Even though she doesn't have her permanet job after teaching, I think her job as a mother has been really done great. Not easy at all, either !

By the way, the paper I used for these two paintings was from the studio I work for as a part timer. They are sized and I had a new feeling in using paper. Very enjoyable.
