Echizen Washi

It was made only during a short period time about five or six years ago. Mr.Kono of Udatsu Museum was trying to sell them but he could not sell well, and the program ended.

I heard him saying he has kept the stock at home, so I asked him to let me help to make an advertisement here on my website.

Those were made from handmade Echizen Washi kozo paper and kotton or silk. One lady artisan who lives next city made them all by hand. They dyed colors on kozo paper first, then made strings from that paper, and wove them.

I think I should bring them to Italy with me to show people I meet on the way.
