 I was given a book here because my name is written in it.

On page 137, it says ;

According to the Echizen washi maker and researcher, Rina Aoki of Imadate, the expression " tori no ko " is found in this Account Books. This is in the record for the 1st day of the 10th month of 1636, which states, " Japanese paper, in other words torinoko, 58 reams, where 1 ream equals 10 sheets ". If the Dutch term torronocq is actually referring to torinoko paper, then this is probably Echizen gampi paper, and this is one piece of evidence that the Dutch knew this term.   ........................

And the writer, Mr. Akira Kofuku continues the word torinoko was not used later on in the Account Book, so it's not really sure.

Well, my studies will go on.
