Echizen Washi

A tour came. I was surprised to know they were all from NY. For some of them, it was their fifth or sixth times to visit Japan.

On the day they came, they woke up at 4:00AM at Ei'hei-ji Temple for ZEN practice. This temple is in Fukui and it is the center of temples for ZEN sect. So they looked tired a bit when they got here for the workshop.

But I had a very nice talk with them. Knowing that I was in NY this October, one of them said to me, ` People forget you easily, so remember to send the people you met there greetings some time and keep in touch. ` It's natural but very good to be said, because even me, who lives in a countryside meeting very few new people very day, easily forget names....  Well, let me try !
