Sho-hachi and his wife were preparing gampi materials when I visited them today. I'm ordering their gampi -kozo paper to send a friend of mine in the Netherlands. To NY this time I brought some of his samples to show.
He makes very good and fine paper, but he doesn't have enough time to promote his paper. So I try to introduce his paper every time I go abroad only because I want him to continue producing his paper.
Artisans in the village gradually understand my honest heart in Echizen paper, so mostly they welcome me coming into their studios and talk about our future in spite of my sudden visit.
