He was checking kozo material using water from the mountain just behind the studio. The water keeps flowing. In winter time, it's of course very cold, but they don't add hot water in there.

In a week, they do papermaking only for about two days, but the other days they take time to prepare materials. ` This is a very important process to make good paper,` Ichibei said. ` You cannot be in hurry. My father often said we have to be very honest to take each step patiently. `

The water helps them make beautiful paper, and Mr. Ichibei always appreciate it a lot.
