DAMEN in Den Hauge2011.06.08
Sydney of the Rijksmuseum voor Volkenkunde in Leiden gave me an advice to visit a paper shop in Den Hauge. I entered the shop when it's about to close. I rushed in with my backpack sweatering after I had run very hard. You could imagine how strange I would have been like... So, I explained to Mr.Damen why I came and what I wanted to see.
Mr. Damen on the picture is the fourth generation as the shop owner since 1895. I felt his passion on paper is as big as I have, so I didn't hesitate to show our samples and talked & talked even though I knew I looked like people not well mannered ! Thanks to his good patience, we exchanged our information very well ( I hope ! ).
Thank you !
