Echizen Washi

I went to Kanazawa where the papershow was held for three days.

There was a booth for our Echizen Washi and it was my first time to talk with him ( in the pic ) about his paper in details though I have known him for a long time. ( * The papers he stands front are not his papers .... sorry! )

I should visit his studio soon. Pictures can be printed nicely on his paper by the usual printig machines and I wonder if I can do some hanga, woodblock printing, on it.

There were not so many people in the papershow such as in Frankfurt I have been, and one of my ideal goal is to hold an international WASHI forum in Echizen in my forties or fifities......
