Paper with `dust`2010.04.28
Echizen Washi has a long history with papers well known as its beauty of whiteness ( no bleach ).
But nowadays, it is not very difficult to make a white paper using bleach, so it is not rare at all. Then some customers rather ask us the different quality to have the ` dust`, or chiri, these days. ( BUT we still use the natural materials for the `dust` of course! )
I feel values can change as time passes and we, as a papermaker, have to be sensitive about the change, but it is always important to have your own visiton.
