I didn't have enough time here at Udatsu Museum the other day and let me continue this topic in the following !
There are same kind of crab almost all along the coast in Japan Sea, but ours here are the most well known for its wonderful taste. In a book it said the taste comes from the unique environment in Echizen Coast, which is very deep enough for crabs to have a good place to stay and is very near to ports, which means they can bring them back very fast to keep them very fresh. F ishermen are allowed to catch crabs only from Novemeber to the next year February. Most people around me love female crabs especially, and the female ones are caught only until December.
On Jan 2, my family visited our favorite restaurant to have crabs ! Japan Sea looked very exciting with lots of waves !
