Rag Mochi !?2014.02.28

Mochi is always translated into `  rice cake ` in English. But I always doubt it is a ` cake `.....

Anyway we often have mochi especially in winter season. But I didn't really know about this kind of mochi, ` Bo-ro Mochi `, or rag mochi !?!?

Mochi is usually made from glutinous rice, but this one is mixed with real rice. People tell me various reasons for mixing it with rice; Children can eat it very easily because it is not very sticky, or , they just like the taste.... and so on.

Ms.Yamada cut it into half using a string ( !? ) and I was very surprised !  It has red beans paste in it !

Very happy.
