One Early Morning ( 1 )2013.12.14
My neighbor's husband passed away for his age 74. I have lots of good memories with him especially this year. His wife, 71, now needs a company to be with, so I often visit her and sometimes stay overy night with her. She had never been alone in her life until her husband's death. I could imagine how hard it could be for her to adjust the new life in her old age.
I feel in Western countries you could be raised focusing on how to survive by yourself alone, but that in Japan, on the other hand, it could be more important to learn how to harmonize with people..... well, I'm not a specialist, but sometimes I feel it, remembering my foreign friend in Japan used to try to be independent from anyone, but she was struggling, or suffering with Japanese language being anable to rely on others.......
