Echizen Washi

 I don't know how I should call them, partly because I don't really know either why they come all the way from Ise Jingu, a famous shrine in Mie-prefecture.

Somehow some people in Otaki love to welcome them to come over to visit each house. The real one ( because I heard there was a fake one ! ) visit the Okamoto Otaki Shrine at first to make a prayer to the god, and then to the each house in the town.

This time they came before 7:00am !! Surprise... Isn't it too early ?? But of course, most of the people here wake up very early in the morning... like 5:30 am or earlier than that. Actually I do too especially in the summer time; waking up with the sun and going to sleep with the sun..

The photo is at Jiyomon Paper Studio in the morning when we were making paper. There is `a lion` in the team band and if you get bit, you will have a good health in the future.  People will say to you, ` Have them bite your head ! ` ( hope it's correct English..... )
