My Chinese students ( I teach Japanese ) said they've never tried Japanese curry rice. I'm good at making Japanese curry rice, so I brought it to their dormitory the other day. It took me six hours to make the curry. Yes, as you know, we have a special paste for curry in Japan and usually people cook curry only by using it without any spices.
But my mother used spices a lot, so do I.
I know Chinese people tend to be very picky for Japanese food because they categorize us in the same Asian cultural background. But we are not the same ! , totally different ! ................. but I worried a bit whether they like my curry or not.
The result was..... I sold out everything ! I was very happy.
They cooked some dishes for me too, so it was just like a new year party .
