This is made of red soy beans and you can only see this in Fukui in winter time ( look at the design ! ) from the end of November to the early March.
At Udatsu Museum Ms.Yamada also served me ( !? with sunglasses ..... I wanted to make a funny photo , but I didn't try hard. Maybe next time !! ) the other day. Each brand has different taste using black sugar or white sugar also depending on how much portion of the beans with water. One of my friends can tell which shop makes one. He must have tasted a lot since he was a child.....
