Okamoto Otaki Shrine is the only place where inshrines ` Paper Goddess ` in the world... You can't miss it if you visit this paper village ! It was opened first as a temple in 714, a long time ago.
The leaves of the ginkgo trees standing at the both sides of the red ` to-ri-i ` gate are becoming more and more gorgeous now. I love seasonal colors in Japan which are very different by its each season.
Ginkgo trees hold lots of water in their roots, so they hardly get burn in the fire. That is why people try to have ginkgos in the shrines... that's what I heard before.
