To-Jin-Bo at Japan Sea ( 1 )2012.08.03

photo01

Fukui has a beautiful coast line and beach in the west. So you can have a chance to see the beautiful sunset at the well-known cliff called ` To Jin Bo `, which is originally a name of a monk who was killed by the other monks, according to the legend.

He was a very bad person and everyone hated him. So, when he was heavily drunk, they pushed him into the ocean to die. The next day a big storm occured in the sea and everyone thought it was Tojinbo's curse which caused this disaster. Later, they made a prayer for him and no storm after that. .... This is what I remember for the legend. But please check it out for yourself ! I could be wrong...
