Echizen Washi

When people here watch me walking down on the streets from noon to the evening , which should be supposed to be the time for papermaking, they ask me ` Have you already finished your work today ?`

To tell the truth, I'm getting tired of hearing all those questions. It's good that people care for each other, but even if I try to explain my style for working like papermaking, art activities, teaching English & Japanese and guding visitors around in the village, they would just think ` I'm lazy `. They think it's worth working physically. So before, I answered ` I do nothing in the afternoon ` or ` I'm hanging around freely by myself `.  Then after a few months passed. someone said to me ` I envy you because you're supported by your rich parents ` .....   Not At All .....

I believe it happens every where in the small villages in the world. But maybe Japanese tend to work really hard and feel guilty to take a rest.
