Japan TV Interviewing Echizen Washi2011.02.26
A TV company from Tokyo is now here at Echizen Washi. They are making a program about Rembrandt van Rijn ( 1606-1669 ) for his printing work.
They say he often used washi, Japanese paper, in that period whears Japan forbided to have trading with foreign countries except for Dutch and China.
I am making a research to make an evidence that the paper was from Echizen here. Stories buried in the long history always attract people's interests. : ) But, if you know anything about it, please let me know. Thank you!
( can you see the TV crew outside ? )
