I gathered some branches from the Okamoto Otaki Shrine. After the big snow this year, I could find lots of them there.
I started picking up to use the sacred wood for my stove ! The leaves ( the first pic ) have new sprouts and some people would imagine the pollen in coming spring.
And some wood ( the second ) has moss on its body which can tell how much old it is. Very sacred.
