This is the famous meal served for each participant, who is the representative of each house, usually fathers.
Women are not allowed to enter and men cook all the meal.
In Japanese traditional way at celemonies, only house owners joined those events and bring meals back home later to share with the familes and neigbors.
They say it's very important to share things in our culture.
