This is what I usually have noodles in Echizen; cold with grated radish, even in winter...
The owner of Musashi-ya, the restarutant, told us that because of the hot weather this summer radish didn't grow well and that made the taste much bitter.
While we were eating, he said to us without a smile, ` So, today's one couldn't be good one `.
( I have to tell you that he is a really really nice man, though! )
